Eldred Wheeler Dunlap Chest on Chest-on-Frame, bench-made reproduction based on c. 1790-1800 original made by the Dunlap Family of New Hampshire, Dunlap styling includes upper case embellishment of flowering ogee and egg and dart moldings, lower case with "spoon handle" carving to skirt flanking the salamander scrolls, red paint on maple, both the top drawer in upper case and bottom drawer in lower case are single drawers carved to appear as three, shell carvings to lower center drawer and to skirt, all raised on short cabriole legs on Queen Anne padded feet, bail brasses, wear consistent with age and use, 78" h. x 41" w. x 21 1/2" d.
