An American Walnut 'Occidental' Parlor Clock, William L. Gilbert Clock Company, Connecticut, Fourth Quarter 19th Century, the white paper dial having Roman numerals, the twin train movement striking on a 3 3/4in gong, with applied paper label to the reverse inscribed 'OCCIDENTAL. / MANUFACTURED BY / Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co., / Winsted, Conn.'.
Dimensions:Â Height 23 1/2in; width 16 1/2in; depth 5 1/4in.
Condition
Loss of silvering to the mirrored glass on case. Lacking silvered putti to left side of case. The case with general marks, wear, scuffs, surface scratches and small losses overall. The gillt metal mounts with wear and toning throughout. Dust in crevices overall. The clock was maintaining power and striking correctly at the time the condition report was completed. We cannot guarantee the functionality and completeness of the clock's movement. With pendulum and winding key.
