Mike welded and sculpted this lamp. Incredible detail with the hammer beat out snake, and used of NYC windows like Benny Carter. Mike worked with Benny at Halstead Metals and got laid off in the same day back in 1992. Painted lamp. - Mike Hutson worked with Benny Carter at Halstead Metals in Madison, NC and got layed off the same day ca. 1992. When Benny began painting, so did Mike. Mike was prolific until his son died in a car accident then he stopped painting for years until his GF talked him into painting again. Most of his paintings are from the 1993 - 1997 range.
