This lot features ten framed prints from the 19th and early 20th centuries. They vary from original hand-colored engravings to 1950s lithographs. Each is fitted with a unique wooden frame. -19th century Currier New York print of Napoleon 13.5 x 17.5" -19th century print of Harlem from Central Park 11.5 x 9" -A stipple engraving of a woman, titled "Health" 8.5 x 10.5" -An antique striped bass print 14.5 x 11.5" -An original Henry Alken "Stag Hunt' aquatint 18 x 15" -Vintage map of Waiscasset Village, Lincoln, CO 11.5 x 13.5" -Harper Weekly September 7, 1872 14.5 x 20" -Harpers Weekly April 20, 1861 13 x 19.5" -Harpers Weekly "Minot's Ledge Lighthouse" 1869 13 x 11" Overall good condition. Wear throughout the frames and slight warping to some prints. Foxing visible on a few as well. From the estate and lifelong collection of William Garrett Hodges (1946-2014). Hodges was a Virginia-based dealer of fine arts, with specialization in prints and rare books, having collected for decades. He supplied and consulted various groups on antiquities throughout his career, including the White House, the Vice President's residence, the FBI, and multiple film and television series.
