Description
Jules Olitski (Ukranian, 1922-2007). Acrylic on gray woolen pile abstract painting titled "Touchstone" in light blue and warm pink tones, 1969. The highly textured surface of the artwork is emphasized by the subtle gradations and variations in color and tone throughout the work. The edges of the work are in grayer tones, which become more mottled toward the center, which is dominated by pale pinks and purples. The artwork is housed in a black and gold wood frame.
