Horace Hone (English / Irish, circa 1754/56-1825). Hand painted miniature, portrait of a woman, Mary French. In a gold tone mourning pendant, with woven hair encapsulated in the reverse. Initialed HH and dated 1799 along the right side. 2 1/2" x 2 1/4" (pendant 2 3/4" x 2 1/4"). Some discoloration under glass along right side.
