French Carved Oak Fauteuil a la Reine, 19th C., the canted high upholstered back over scrolled arms with figural male and female supports flanking a bowed seat, on scroll carved cabriole legs joined by a shaped X-form stretcher, in original needlework fabric with iron tack decoration, H.- 48 1/2 in., W.- 30 in., D.- 30 in.

Visually impressive piece. Shrinkage cracks to center of stretchers. A few area of fabric at edges and back of seat with some fraying/losses to needlework and a few thread pulls.
