The drawing is made in the well-known style of Maynard Dixon. he was an american artist. He was known for his paintings and his work focused on the American West. Dixon is considered one of the greatest artists having devoted most of his art to the cultures and landscapes of the American Southwest. at the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. Through his work with Galerie Beaux Arts, a cooperative gallery in San Francisco, Dixon played a pivotal role in ensuring that the West Coast supported the work of local modern artists. He was married for a time to the photographer Dorothea Lange, and later to the painter Edith Hamlin
