George Daniel's copy of Browne's most important book. With a manuscript poem bound in before the title page, signed "*****e : *****l" and dated 1648, in the hand which is known to have copied Daniel's verse under the poet's direction. The poem begins: "If to delight, & profit, be of praise; / Admire this Author; who hath many waies" and ends "What yet remains, is All; but what is that? / Read ore the booke, and you may tell me what". Several bookplates; Daniel's inscription dated 1646 on recto of licence leaf, with numerous annotations in his hand throughout and his name on nine pages throughout the volume.
