Artist Biography: Born in Seoul Korea in 1960, J. Morgan learned oriental painting as a child and began to paint flowers at an early age. His oil painting career began while studying fine arts in college. Inspired by a trip to Italy in 1990, J. Morgan began to paint Tuscan poppies as his primary subject matter. Originally painting poppies in a naturalistic manner, he has since developed a more contemporary style in the past decade. He is a painter with a primary focus on florals and nature. Morgan uses brilliant color and technique in is original paintings on canvas. He sees flowers and life molded from lines and captures the essence of its energy and through all, the artist responds to the transforming power of the light and to the internal energies of nature.J.
