DESCRIPTION: Large red silk jewelry box with Qing dynasty jade belt hook handles. Red floral silk fabrics. Jade handles are dragon belt hooks. PROVENANCE: George Henne November 1866 - June 2, 1938. By inheritance to J. Fuller, Pennsylvania. Jade and related Chinese antiques imported by George Henne, Sole Proprietor, 311 East 23rd Street, New York, NY approximately from 1900 to 1935. Some use in lockets and boxes for small valuables. MEASUREMENT: Jade belt hooks: 3-3/4" long. Jewelry box: 9-3/4" wide x 7-3/4" deep x 6-3/4" high. CONDITION: Significant tearing and fraying consistent with age. MEG
