RARE C. A. Richards & Co. Golden Sheaf Bourbon Amber Bottle with Original Paper Advertising Cover, 1864. Richards was located 99 Washington St., Boston, Mass. This embossed amber bottle is not marked. The paper cover is marked, "Entered According to an Act of Congress in the Year 1864 by C. A. Richards In the Clerks Office of the District Court of Mass." Was most likely produced by Lyndeborough Glass Works, Lyndeborough, New Hampshire. It is amazing that this bottle has survived with the original paper advertising. When lighted from the bottom and view through the mouth, the embossed advertising for Richards Co. can be seen on one side of the bottle. Measures 9 3/4". From the Estate of Dr. Ronald Terhune. Condition- Bottle is in good condition, no chips or cracks. The cover has some toning, losses, and the upper portion was cut away at one time to drink. See photos.
