Aleksandra Georgevna Platunova, Russian, Soviet era, 1896 to 1955, watercolor painting on paper, Motherhood, depicting a scene with a mother and a child, an original maquette for the publishers illustrated cover of Krasnaya Gazeta, Red Newspaper, Red Panorama. No. 39 of August 9, 1929. Signed lower right. Titled upper to the center. Additionally inscribed, The Inscription Red Panorama in a Blue Shade, on the backside. Aleksandra Platunova is a Russian, Soviet era artist, known for paintings, easel, book and magazine graphics, bookplates, popular prints, portraits, landscapes, thematic, abstract ornamental, and symbolic allegorical compositions, often based on fairy tales and fantasies of her own composition. One of a kind artwork.
