Description
ASSORTED CERAMIC OPEN SALTS, LOT OF FIVE, comprising a Meissen tri-footed shell-form example with Blue Onion motif, an ovoid-form tin-glazed example with polychrome-sponged decoration, a tri-footed example featuring embossed floral design with red accents, a double bowl-form example with entwined handle and polychrome hand-painted floral, swag, and scroll design with gilt accents, and a circular blue hand-painted example. Marks to underside include blue-crossed swords, a crown with "N" below, and a red-printed crown with "KERR & SON. / DUBLIN / AND WORCESTER". Kerr & Son, Dublin (Ireland) and Worcester (England); Royal Porcelain Manufactory, Meissen; Ernst Bohne Sons, Rudolstadt or Potschappel, Saxony, Germany. 19th/early 20th century. 4 7/8" HOA.
