AMERICAN MAJOLICA CERAMIC FOOTED COMPOTES, LOT OF THREE, each having bright polychrome enamel decoration, comprising an open-handled leaf-form example, one having knotted open handles with floral and leaf design, and one scalloped rim example. Printed marks to underside include "MORLEY & CO. / MAJOLICA / WELLSVILLE, O." and "GEORGE MORLEY'S / MAJOLICA. / EAST LIVERPOOL, O." George Morley, East Liverpool/Wellsville, OH; and other. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 5 1/4" HOA, 10 5/8" DOA.

Scalloped example undamaged; leaf example having two minute flakes to rim underside; leaf and flower example having broken and repaired handle and some glaze flakes to interior, possibly as made.
