ANTIQUE / VINTAGE PORTRAIT / FIGURAL BELT OR DRESS BUCKLES, LOT OF 12 PIECES, each one or two-part form featuring porcelain, paper under celluloid, or other portrait or figural decoration, most having gilt-brass, silver-toned, or other metal frames, including an Art Nouveau gilt-brass buckle with a small porcelain portrait to center, a pair of gilt-metal buckles with different portraits under celluloid that do not hook together but may be tied together, a gilt-brass buckle with center image of a Victorian marble-type bust presented on a black fabric belt or sash, and a black plastic, possibly Bakelite, buckle featuring two different scenes with figures on porcelain surrounded by red and colorless rhinestones. Unmarked. Fourth quarter 19th/first half 20th century. Art Nouveau buckle with small porcelain portrait 3 1/8" x 2 1/8" OA.

Condition
Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including worn spots/losses to metal finishes, one or a few spots/areas of oxidation, and some bending mostly minor in nature; black plastic buckle with rhinestones having glued repairs or possibly later added; gilt-metal buckle with large woman portrait having probable solder repairs to bars on back; silver-toned buckle with large woman portrait probably lacking clasp piece on back; bronze-toned buckle with porcelain center featuring two figures lacking second half.
