Chinese Ming Dynasty Jiajing Tianyuan Place Bottle Gourd. Potted in traditional Tianyuan origin of heaven into a shape of squared double gourd resemblance, with square bellies and ovoid upper bellies conjoined together, finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, raised with square foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color, depicted of imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing, glossy quality. Which attracting unceasingly admiration. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Jiajing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
