This is a nice original tribal relic statue of the Bakota tribe. These reliquaries played an important role in rituals surrounding their ancestors. 40 x 14 x 7 cm, 404 gr. Careful registered sending, combined shipping possible.
The worship of the ancestors is at the heart of Kota's religious and social life. Upon death, parts of the body are decorated with metal and rubbed with magical powders and stored in a basket. On top of the hive is a guardian statue like this. Careful registered and insured shipping
