Description
An Imperial Russian brass samovar with wooden handles. Ca. 1910s. Etched hallmark with medals on the front, The heirs of V.S. Batashev Tula. The lot also includes a handled serving tray. A samovar is a traditional Russian metal container for boiling water. The Batashev factory based in Tula, Russia, functioned from 1819 to 1917. Tula remains the key center of samovar production.
