Description

Attributed to Michael Butler of Dublin (Irish active 1870-1900), mahogany settee in the Irish Georgian Chippendale taste, late 19th century, having a double curved back, eagle head arms, and rising on front cabriole legs with claw and ball feet, having no apparent marks.

Provenance: : From the Private Collection of William R. Collins, JR., Milton, Georgia.

Approximate measurements: h. 41. 25", w. 48. 25", d. 24. 25"; seat h. 19. 25".

Condition

Exposed nail to upper right at frame, patch to back right leg, crack to back center leg, no apparent tears or stains to upholstery, frame is structurally sound.
