Description

Offered in this lot is an Allan Houser bronze medallion bolo tie. This bronze slide has a sculpted Native American figure beating the drum. The detail work of this sculpted bolo slide is unique and eye-catching. The slide is on a black and white braided cord with sculpted feather design silver tips. This bolo tie will be enjoyed for many years to come and would look incredible in your collection.
MAKER: Attributed to Allan Houser (1914-1994; Chiricahua Apache). He attended the Santa Fe Indian School and became one of the most well-known Naive American painters and sculptors of the 20th century.
APPROX AGE: Fairly Modern (meaning 1980s or newer).
SIZE: The leather cord measures 33 inches overall including the tips. The slide measures 2 3/4 inches in diameter, and the tips measure 2 1/2 inches long x 1/4 inch wide. The total weight for this item is 185.2 grams (with most of the cord off the scale).
CONDITION: Good for its age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
