Early Ames Model 1832 Foot Artillery Sword
marked N. P. AMES / SPRINGFIELD and UNITED / STATES / 1835, with a 19-1/8 in. blade beneath a brass fish scale grip and plain cross guard, the pommel cast with an American eagle on both sides; complete with the proper leather scabbard having a brass throat and tip.

Bright blade without edge nicks, but having some light staining; the scabbard's leather with some crazing, but no splits; all brass elements cleaned; overall very good condition.
