HARDY OF BANGOR, ME (1800-1887). Circa 1840 to 1850. Oil on canvas portrait depicts a young gentleman in his Lord Fontenay suit and bow tie. Unsigned. In elaborate gold gesso frame. SIZE: Sight is 24 1/2" w x 29 1/2" h. Overall 34 1/2" w x 41" h. PROVENANCE:From the John Webber Estate of Bangor, Maine. CONDITION: painting in generally very good condition. Frame with a couple minor ancient losses. (05-572/JJ). $800-1,200.
