Description
An antique Balinese Kamasan hand painted pigment on a cotton canvas. The painting depicts a mythological scene with Hindu characters in the Old folk art style. Probably a scene from the Mahabharata, one of the two major Sanskrit epics of ancient India depicting Garuda and Vishnu capturing Amrita, the nectar of immortality, surrounded by a profusion of allegorical figures.
