Eine der wenigen Leica M-Kameras für 72 Aufnahmen im Halbformat 18x24 mm, die bei Leitz in Kanada realisiert wurden. Der Hauptkörper mit aus dem Vollen gefrästem Bildfenster, ohne Verwendung einer Maske oder Blende. Das Bildzählwerk zählt bis 80. Die Transportwalze mit 8 Zähnen dreht 180° (Untersetzung mittels Planetengetriebe) für den Filmtransport, während für den Aufzug des Verschlusses eine volle Umdrehung benötigt wird. Leuchtrahmensucher mit Halbformat Bildrahmen. Eine äußerste Rarität, dieses Exemplar in neuwertigem Zustand.

Dabei: Schatulle mit aufgeklebter Visitenkarte des ursprünglichen Besitzers, "Hans J. Witt, Vice-President & General Manager Ernst Leitz Canada Ltd.".

One of the very few Leica M cameras for 72 exposures in half format 18x24 mm, that were realised by Leitz in Canada. The image window in the shutter crate milled from the solid, without the use of a mask or cover. The frame counter counts up to 80. The transport roller with 8 teeth rotates 180° (reduction by planetary gear) for the film wind, while for winding the shutter a full rotation is needed. Brightline viewfinder with half format framelines. An absolute rarity, this example in like new condition.
