Description
Mit Elmar 1:3.5/5 cm No. 234076 ("Feet"-Teilung).
Provenienz: Sammlung Antonio Maresca.
Literatur: James L. Lager, „Leica, an illustrated History“, Vol. III (accessories), S. 62; Lars Netopil, "Rare Leica", S. 165, 166.
This gray Leica IIIc K was delivered to the American Army after the war. Topplate in very nice original condition, vulcanite covering renewed in the 1950s and painted gray. The extremely rare and also ball-beared MOOLY-C "K" No. 5299 was originally delivered as a gray paint finished version. Apparently, the housing of the Leica-Motor was chrome-plated after the war by a third party and later painted gray again in the course of a restoration. With Elmar 5 cm f/3.5 No. 234076 ("Feet"-scale).
Provenance: Antonio Maresca collection.
Literature: James L. Lager, "Leica, an Illustrated History", Vol. III (accessories), p. 62; Lars Netopil, "Rare Leica", p. 165, 166.
Serial Number: 390773K
Production Year: 1945
