That year the work in the contest carried the motto or title Romulus vainqueur d'Acron porte les premiÃƒÂ¨res dÃƒÂ©pouilles opimes au temple de Jupiter. Ousted by Henri Charles Maniglier, he won a second first prize shared with Ernest-Eugene Hiolle.
