Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., 1850-1870, colorless lead glass, three pressed loop / leaf compotes, comprising: 1. Large open compote with nine loops, hexagonal baluster-form standard and circular foot with pressed scalloped pattern; 10 5/8" top dia., 5 1/4" bottom dia., 7 1/2"H; roughness to rim of foot as made---2. Footed compote with cover, bowl with nine loops, raised on a flaring base with nine elongated loops, matching lid; 6 7/8" overall diameter, interior rim 5 1/2" dia., base 5 1/4" dia., 8 3/4"H overall, 5 1/2"H without lid; good condition with light roughness around cover edge and foot edge as made, minor flea bites to rims---3. Open compote with nine loops, hexagonal baluster-form standard and circular foot with pressed scalloped pattern; 6 7/8" top dia., 4" bottom dia., 5 5/8"H; chip to bottom edge of foot rim---From the estate of Joseph Ewing, long-time antiques dealer in OH, NC, and SC, to benefit the Laurens County Museum Association and the Laurens County Humane Society, Laurens, SC.
