[Potter (Beatrix)] 'A bright and happy Christmas',Christmas greeting card, chromolithograph on card, contemporary inscription on blank verso "With Bernard's & Winnie's love", very good, [V&A 1793; Hobbs p.79], 89 x 131 mm., Hildesheimer & Faulkner, [c.1890].

***One of a pair of guinea pig designs that Beatrix Potter provided for Hildesheimer & Faulkner, both of which were subsequently reused in their 1893 publication Our Dear Relations. This is a variant on that recorded by the V&A and in Anne Stevenson Hobbs' Beatrix Potter: artist & illustrator, which have the card captioned 'A bright and happy NEW YEAR' (see Hobbs, pp.78-79)..
