R. HOLLINGS & CO. BRASS KEROSENE PIANO LAMP, stamped brass shell and medallion font vase with upper cast shade ring, raised on an adjustable spiraling shaft terminating in a compressed bottom finial, cast-brass decoration, brass hub signed "R. HOLLINGS & CO/BOSTON USA", three cast-brass legs with scrolling and medallion motif and terminating in serpent heads, brass drop-in font. Fitted with a period burner, colorless slip chimney, and a tapered rubina verde opalescent (reacts under black light) Swirl tapered shade. Electrified. R. Hollings & Co. 1886-1898. 54" HOA, 38 1/2" H to brass adjusting connector, 17 1/2" DOA feet.

Condition
Excellent condition overall with the font tank having scattered denting, flame spreader lacking a top deflector and having denting; serpent legs all having a later finish and have possibly been recast, one having a repaired crack near the top scroll; shade having a shallow sliver chip to the top rim.
