ASSORTED LIGHTING MATCH ARTICLES, UNCOUNTED LOT, comprising of six matchholders, including two glass figural examples with embossed patent dates of June 1876, depicting Columbia/Jenny Lind and a Jester example, two cast-iron figural beetle examples with hinged tops, a cast-iron scroll wall-mount example, and a wooden example. Two matches retain a handwritten note reading "D 1668 Two matches from Compass dated 1875. They are the same length as the compass drawer"; another grouping is fitted in original paper container. Fourth quarter 19th century. Matchholders 3 1/2" to 6 3/4" HOA.
