METAL MERIDEN BRITANNIA CO. NO. 485 KEROSENE VASE LAMP, copper finish, oblong-form font holder with floral embossed side panels, each side with figural lions heads holding a ring, underside impressed "ROGERS, SMITH & CO." and "485", brass drop-in cylinder-form font with hammered patterned shoulder, No. 2 Taplin-Brown collar. Fitted with a period setup comprising a Duplex burner, an amber cased patented J. J. Kittle shade with acid-etched with frosting to colorless sections, corners with concave ovals and an overall stylized scroll pattern. Non-period colorless chimney. Fourth quarter 19th century. 15 3/4" H to top of shade, 8" H to top of collar, 7 1/2" x 8 3/4" base. Shade 7" H, 4" D fitter.

Condition
Very good overall condition with expected wear, several drilled holes as a result of previous electrification, holes include in the base of the vase holder, two in the interior font holder and the font. Burner lacking components and with electrification alterations, Shade and chimney undamaged.
