Description
 C. S. WESTLAND PATENTED KEROSENE STAND LAMP, colorless compressed globular-form blown font with additional interior blown font resulting a chamber between the two reservoirs, underside of font engraved "Pat July 16/78", faint opaque lavender to the exterior and opaque white to the interior base with double step, brass connector, No.2 brass collar. Fitted with a period setup comprising an E. F. Jones No. 2 lip burner, thumbwheel impressed "E. F. JONES/ BOSTON / PATENT / MAY 4. 1858.", interior fitted with a Merrill's air director, marked "R. S. MERRILL'S PATENT. JUNE 14. 1859", stamped 4 1/4" D brass shade ring, colorless and frosted Mt. Washington Oregon shade with engraved and roughed Lotus pattern, 4 1/8" stamped shade ring, and a colorless chimney. Second half 19th century. 18 3/4" HOA to top of shade, 10 1/4" H to top of collar, 4 3/4" SQ foot. Shade 7 1/2" HOA, 4" D fitter.
