This compilation of four works bound together in one volume details the laws and proposed bills passed by the General Assembly of the State of Virginia during 1861-1862, the eighty-sixth year of the Commonwealth. The collection covers a wide range of topics, including voting privileges exclusive to white male homeowners, the development of railroads, discussions on alcohol repeals, and the taxation of slaves, and the rights of free blacks.
