Impressive Bronze Griffin on a Stepped Marble Base

fourth quarter 19th century, English or Continental, the creature modeled with wings out and sitting on a stepped, white-veined brown marble base, with one paw resting on a shield.
h. 41-3/4", w. 13-3/4", d. 29-1/2"

Condition

Missing attached bolts to front raised leg and to back leg at marble base. Loosely attached wings but intact. Chips to marble base edges. No visible breaks or repairs. In overall good condition with a nice patina.
