Etienne Bonnot de Condillac was an 18th-century French philosopher and teacher known for his lessons in psychology. These instructional practices were known to be some of the most important of their time and were published in full in an enormous set by the royal printing house in Paris. These lessons, which were given to his pupil the Duke of Parma, Ferdinand Bourbon. In addition to Condillacs lectures, this set contains a short work on philosophy by Francois Fenelon. Sothebys confirms:
“Condillacs educational volumes designed for Ferdinando (1751-1802) who became duke of Parma in 1765”.
