Description
Painting Titled Fishing Boat off Pierre Port. Framed by Thomas Acne and Sons (1600-1950) in a wood and plaster high relief gold leaf frame. Artist signed on the back of the canvas, E. Hayes RHA as well as the title, Fishing Boat off Pierre Port.
E. Hayes first exhibit at the British Institution in 1854 was from an address in Dublin but in 1855 an address in Greenwich was given: it was in this year he also first exhibited at the Royal Academy. He continued to exhibit at the British Institution until 1867, and at the Royal Academy until the year of his death. He also exhibited at the Society of British Artists, the New Watercolour Society, the Grosvenor Gallery and the New Gallery". Sight: 13.5in H x 9.5in L. Framed, 9.25in x H x 17.25in L x 2in Depth.
