Description
This is a Pre-Columbian lot of three figural smalls including two redware pottery pieces of a Mayan face and a polychrome painted animal whistle figurine. The whistle is accompanied by the original receipt from The Lands Beyond gallery on Lexington Ave, in New York City. Dated 1988.
From the Upstate New York estate of Marshall and Kay Lee. Marshall was a well known collector of Pre-Columbian pottery and a talented and well-respected book designer in the publishing industry.
The stone piece is 1 1/4". The face is 1 7/8", and the painted animal is 1 5/8"
