Spine stress, mild spine roll, mild edge and corner wear, some residue to top of "IN" in "AMAZING," reading creases to back cover, back cover corner creased, tiny stain to edges of some pages. Off-white pages. Cover: Steve Ditko. Stories and art: Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. GPAnalysis: A 4.0 sold for $140 in 11/22.

#14: VG- (3.5). Spine stress, reading creases to covers, short tears and edgewear, 1" creased tear to back cover, two 3/4" tears to last page. White to off-white pages. Cover: Steve Ditko. Stories and art: Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. GPAnalysis: A 3.5 sold for $159 in 1/23 (an uncharacteristically modest result; other recent sales in this grade: $241, $377, $382).

Zeus visits Earth and gets beset by pitchmen and admirers, causing the dismayed god to scurry back to Mount Olympus, a sequence that anticipates Thor's run-in with fawning teens in Thor #143 ("Thou must not PURSUE me as though I be a mortal singer of SONGS!"). Ish #13 features an early blurb for ol' Greenskin in the bottom margin of one page: "On Sale Soon... THE HULK!" Mutant teen Tad Carter is hunted and hounded by hateful Homo sapiens in ish #14 – 1st occurence of anti-mutant prejudice in a Marvel mag?
