A Chinese blue and white vase with figures dating from the Kangxi period (1661-1722). Vase has a wide base, tapering slightly at bottom then swelling outwards to a rounded top, fitted with a wooden cover. Multiple figures in groupings surround the vase, with nature and landscape details. The vase is accompanied by a an old wooden stand.

Provenance: Estate of William J. Hughes, Former NJ Congressman, ambassador of Panama, passed away in Oct 2019, he was a 10 term congressman from New Jersey from 1974-1994,and then became a diplomat from 1995-1998.

Condition: in overall good condition with top part missing, drilled hole to the bottom, scattered chips to the edge of base
