Description
A Chinese white jade carved libation cup, dating from the 18th century. An oval shaped cup carved smooth on all sides with two long handles along the sides incised with archaistic dragon motif, Gently sloping walls even and masterful. standing on a slightly raised oval foot.
L. 3 5/8" (9.2 cm)
Provenance: collection of Raymond G. Hill (1900-1981) and Ruth M.Hill (1908-1981),likely acquired in China in the 1930-1960s, thence by descent Ray and Ruth Hill lived in China in the 1930s and 1960s when Ray was vice president at Citibank Asia Pacific
