Description
Three Chinese blue and white items; a jar and two plates, dating from the 17th - 18th century(Kangxi-Qianlong Period). Jar is decorated with alternating auspicious Chinese "Shou"characters and flower designs, between a Ruyi band on the top and above the base. The jar has double circle stamp on the slightly recessed base. Larger plate has scene of a female on a boat pushing along with long stick. With decorative border, Smaller plate has dragon design swirling to the back side of the plate with auspicious clouds
Jar: H. 6 1/2" (16.5 cm), Larger plate: D. 8" (20.3 cm), Smaller plate: 6 1/4" (16 cm)
Provenance: estate of William J.Hughes,Former NJ Congressman, ambassador of Panama, passed away in Oct 2019, he was a 10 term congressman from New Jersey from 1974-1994,and then became a diplomat from 1995-1998

Condition: good condition overall, jar has a faint hairline to the unglazed rim, larger plate has a faint hairline to the rim approx. 1 3/8" and a iron spot to the lower center, smaller plate has a restored section to the rim and a hairline crack along the edge
