Beverly Cleary (1916- 2021) Children’s book author. Cleary's books are set in the Grant Park neighborhood of northeast Portland, Oregon, where she was raised, and she has been credited as one of the first authors of children's literature to figure emotional realism in the narratives of her characters, often children in middle-class families. Her book, Dear Mr Henshaw, William Morrow & Company, 1983, signed on the first blank page “For Sara Beverly Cleary.” It has a library dust jacket. It is also missing the endpaper. Some wear on the binding, but overall good condition.
