Description
Three Staffordshire Transfer-Printed and Enamel-Decorated Children's Wares, 1830-50. Comprising "THE BOY AND HIS PONY," a plate printed with a little boy on a pony above the inscription "Oh James what a beautiful Pony you have got, I'll ask Papa to buy me one, that I will," the rim molded with blossoms and rabbits, fox hounds, a fox and stag; a mug depicting a group of children playing "HORSE SOLDIERS;" and a mug depicting a group of children playing with hoops. Plate: H: .5 in., Diam: 7 in. First mug: H: 2.75 in., W: 2.75 in., D: 3.875 in. Second mug: H: 2.625 in., W: 2.625 in., D: 3.5 in.
