Maynard Model 1882 Improved No. 16 Target Rifle, Serial #3564, frame & barrel, .35 Caliber. The octagonal to round 28 inch barrel marked "3464," "18" and "10325," the frame marked "EDWARD MAYNARD/ PATENTEE/ MAY 27, 1851./ DEC. 6, 1859," "1873," the reverse of the receiver marked "MANUFACTURED BY/ MASS ARMS CO/ CHICOPEE FALLS./ 1882" with serial number "3464," the checkered pistol grip figured walnut stock with Schuetzen-style brass butt plate, the interior of the forearm inscribed in pencil "3464." Overall length: 44.5 in. "Antique Firearm;" not subject to NFA regulations.
