Description
Pierre Lenordez (French, 1815-1892). "Bois Roussel." Bronze figure of a thoroughbred. In dark green-brown patina, signed "P. Lenordez" and foundry mark "V. Boyer" on the top edges of the base, and further inscribed in French in the center "By The Nabob and Agar by Sting, Winner in 1864 of the Derby at Chantilly de la Poule Des Produits and of the Prix de l'Empereur." H: 12.25 in., W: 16.25 in., D: 4.375 in.
