A Chinese Carved Gilt Painted Hardwood Architectural Panel

a wooden panel with three sections of carving to the upper portion and the lower portion having decoration painted directly on the boards in gilt and black of a palace scene, the largest of the upper carved section is surrounded by a black ground inlaid with mother-of-pearl in shapes of flowers, fruit and key motif, flat sections of the panel painted in red.
