Description
Thanh Hoa Jar, Vietnam, Ly Dynasty, ca. 12th century. A thin celadon glaze over a buff body with incised floral decoration highlighted with a brown iron oxide glaze in the style of Chinese Cizhou ware of the Song Dynasty (960-1279).

Condition
Crazing to the glaze throughout; some losses to the glaze. There is a sticker affixed along the interior of the lid. Some discoloration to the glaze; visible in the lot listing. There is a crack along the underside of the vessel that does not appear to extend through to the interior. Some small chips along the upper and footrims and the interior rim of the lid. General wear throughout as expected from age and use.
