Beautiful example of an early New England made doll cradle, peg construction with hoop back with curved rails and spindles finished in red paint, original red painted surface displays wonderfully with alligatoring, darkening, and wear in all the right areas showcasing its age. RISD Museum accession number D44.519.75.

Condition
Cradle retains its original red paint with wear and craquelure in all the right places, age crack with minor losses to one side of base, wear to rockers, a beautiful all original example, please refer to photographs.
