Offered is an original mixed media on board painting by Kenneth Southworth Davies (American, 1925-2017). Painting is a preliminary painting from an article from the Saturday Evening Post, of a story titled "The Lady's Last Fling" by Maurice Zolotow, and artwork by Davies. The issue is from August 16, 1958. Included is an original page from the article, which you can see differences in the painting, also includes original pencil drawing of just the elderly woman, and 2 originalpencil drawing sketches on tracing paper. Papers are rough with multiple tears, chips, staining, etc. The image size of the painting is approx. 10-3/4" x 7-3/4", and the magazine page is framed, overall size approx. 15" x 17-1/2".
